More Flatness Collages!

I just love making collages. Collages to me is a very fun way to brainstorm ideas before creating the actual piece. Plus, it really works with my aesthetic and interest in mixing different materials together.

Flatness

I was given a project to create a brooch with the concept of 'Flatness'.
the collages, is what was flat on my sketchbook, and the brooch is the three dimensional interpretation of the flat collages.

Source of Inspirations

I was looking at files in my laptop and I found all these amazing pics I used to collect for sources of inspiration and for fun.

So these are my discovery. Lots of colours, patterns, lines and textures.
I don't remember where I got them though and the name of the artists. :(

Journeyannie.

http://www.tumblr.com/blog/journeyannie

Journeyannie is a blog of mine that I did last year as a part of a class I was in, 'Small Object Ideation', taught by one of the greatest jeweller Natalia M.P.

There's a lot of food inspired, landscape, drawings, COLOUR and FOUND OBJECTS. There is a huge influence from this class in my approach to jewellery - my works.

Check it out!!

Collages

These are collages when I first started doing the Gold and Silversmithing course in RMIT in 2010.
It was about finding and merging patterns within the city of Melbourne. The collage is the outcome.
